Parts & Service FAQ
Does Porsche Center provide transportation?
Yes. We are able to provide 3 means of transportation with an service appointment. We have shuttle service and provide Porsche loaners and rental cars via Hertz, if you are over 25 years of age and meet rental car requirements. You must qualify for a loaner vehicle and reserve it when making an appointment in advance of bringing your car for service. Loaner vehicles are provided based on availability and length of service. If you qualify for a loaner vehicle, we require a copy of your driver's license, a credit card deposit, and proof of insurance.

Why install parts at Porsche Center?
All OEM parts installed at Porsche Center carry a 2 year warranty on parts and labor. This is a replacement warranty with unlimited mileage excluding wear and tear items.
Can I bring my own parts for you to install?
No, we only install parts purchased through Porsche Center from Porsche Cars North America or other Porsche Center approved vendors. Since these parts carry a warranty and we have a business relationship with the parts provider, we are able to address the situation if anything happens during the installation of the parts. We are not able to do so for parts bought elsewhere so we do not install them.

Where can I order parts?

What is Porsche Cars North America's battery warranty?
As stated in Owner communication, battery care is the responsibility of the Owner once the vehicle is sold. In order to replace the battery, your Porsche must be driven a certain number of miles per year. Porsche Cars North America requires a reasonable mileage of at least 15 miles per day or 6,000 miles per rolling twelve months for battery replacement under warranty. Per Porsche Cars North America's warranty requirements, you will need to bring your Porsche vehicle into service so that we can verify that you have driven the required mileage shown above.
Extended Service Contracts
Some Porsche Center service customers have extended service contracts which were not purchased from the Porsche Center. The Porsche Center has had substantial difficulties with the administrators of some of those contracts. Those difficulties have included failure to timely approve and pay for repairs, failure to pay for repairs in full and other matters. Because the Porsche Center does not have a continuing business relationship with the administrators of contracts it did not sell, it is not always possible for us to resolve disagreements with them in a timely and business-like fashion.
Accordingly, effective January 1, 2008, the Porsche Center will process claims for reimbursement for repairs covered by a service contract only if the contract was sold by the Porsche Center. Repairs covered by extended service contracts not sold by the Porsche Center must be paid for by the customer at the time the service is completed, like any other repair. The customer can submit the repair to the extended service contract company for reimbursement. At the request of the customer, the Porsche Center will report the claim to the customers service contract company; however, the repair will be performed only upon the customer's authorization and agreement to pay for it.
This policy has no effect on Porsche Cars North America's warranties and Porsche Certified Pre-Owned Coverage, which, of course, will continue to be honored by the Porsche Center. Thank you for your consideration.
